Ladies 1st XI Vs Cambridge City 3

Ladies 1st travelled to Cambridge City 3rds in their first game of the season. After getting promoted at the end of last season, Pelicans knew it was going to be a challenge, but one they felt more than ready for. 
After a less than smooth start on account of the changing rooms being locked Pelicans lined up ready for the first whistle. 
A lot of the first team squad were unavailable and therefore with 11 players, it was vital that everyone put a strong shift in, and boy did they. 
At the final whistle, a deflected goal was all that separated the two sides, finishing with a 1-0 loss. 

Player of the match was Emily Pluck (Nicola Pluck) who showed great grit and determination in her position at left midfield.
